SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — Meeting attendees in Shreveport can look forward to Mardi Gras-themed events thanks to a new meetings promotion in the area.
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and its partners, the Shreveport Convention Center and the Hilton Hotel Shreveport, launched a new “Let the Good Times and Meetings Roll” promotion to incentivize meeting and event planners.
For a limited time, meeting planners that book events at the Shreveport Convention Center and room nights at the Hilton Hotel Shreveport can enjoy a free Mardi Gras-themed reception with a Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras float. The promotion also comes with lagniappe, or “something extra,” including a fivefold multiple on Hilton HHonors Meeting Planner Points and a 5 percent discount on the master bill at each facility.
Meeting planners with a qualifying convention that complete an online request for proposals will be entered for a chance to win an Apple Watch. Contracts must be signed by March 31, 2017, to be eligible for the offer. Events can take place anytime through March 31, 2020.
The Shreveport Convention Center offers 350,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, including a 95,000-square-foot column-free exhibit hall, an 18,000-square-foot ballroom and 10 breakout rooms. The Hilton Hotel Shreveport offers event catering and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 100 people.
