Team Building With Frank Lloyd Wright

MADISON, Wis. – Meeting attendees at the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Monona Terrace can now experience the celebrated structure in new ways with six recently released group experiences. Hosting 600 events a year, the 250,000-square-foot convention center features curving, geometric forms that blend with the natural environment.

For attendees looking for a team building challenge, Monona Terrace offers its Scavenger Hunt for a smartphone-guided adventure around the facility. Riddles, trivia and challenges will unite your attendees with a common purpose.

Another team building activity, the Discovery Building Activity, encourages team to create large-scale constructions with cardboard discs to mimic the structural skeletons of buildings.

Monona Terrace’s Sustainable Business Tour reveals the Wright structure’s eco-friendly initiatives that earned the site the first LEED-EB silver certificate for a U.S. convention center.

To learn more about the site’s famous architecture, groups of 10 or more can choose the Frank Lloyd Wright Tour. Guides enlighten participants on Wright’s incredible personage and his connection to the city of Madison.

The Museum Gallery Tour takes attendees through the site’s exhibits, such as “Beyond the Drawing Board,” a multimedia gallery showcasing the 60-year history of Monona Terrace. Other exhibits include an architectural photography exhibit called “The Wright Picture” and a photography exhibit highlighting Madison’s landmarks.

The sixth group experience invites 25 or more attendees to pair a 45-minute tour of Monona Terrace with a wine and cheese or Champaign and dessert reception.
