LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Philip San Filippo as executive director. He has more than 20 years of hospitality and tourism experience and has worked for Cayman Islands Tourism Association and the Aladdin Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kate Burger is senior sales manager in the Louisville CVB’s convention development department. Burger will oversee meetings with 201 rooms or more with a focus on educational and cultural markets. She previously was senior sales manager at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

APPLETON, Wis. – The Fox Cities CVB has selected Randy Prasse to replace Lynn Peters as executive director in December. Prasse has spent 20 years in Wisconsin’s tourism industry, including leadership positions with Real Racine and the East Town Association in Milwaukee.

GREENWICH, Conn. – The Hyatt Regency Greenwich has hired Shaheryar Adil as general manager. Adil served as interim general manager at the Hyatt Bellevue in Philadelphia, as well as numerous management positions in Boston, Chicago and Houston.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Peabody Little Rock has promoted Brooke Burnett from catering sales to national sales manager. She will focus on soliciting business from state associations, Texas, the Northeast and the pharmaceutical industry.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Debbie Jordan has been named eastern sales director for the Anaheim/Orange County CVB. Jordan will be responsible for business in the mid-Atlantic region. She spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, including her position as regional director of sales at the Monterey County CVB.

MESA, Ariz. – Marc Garcia has joined the Mesa CVB as president and chief executive officer. He replaces Robert Brinton, who died last October. Garcia served 15 years at the Greater Phoenix CVB, most recently as vice president of visitor marketing and community development.

DESTIN, Fla. – The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa has appointed Micah Carter as regional sales manager. His markets include Kentucky and Tennessee as well as religious events. Most recently, Carter worked in sales for R.L. Campbell Management Services.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jeffery Hentz has joined Daytona Beach Area CVB as president and chief executive officer. Prior to his hire, Hentz served as executive director and chief executive officer for the Yosemite/Mariposa County CVB in California. He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the tourism industry.
