• At 840 square miles, Jacksonville is the largest U.S. city in terms of land mass.  Because its population takes in such a wide swath, it is also the largest city in Florida. The city’s population is 850,000; the metro area is home to more than 
1 million people.

• Despite its large physical size, Jacksonville is a moderate-size market for meetings and conventions. Its downtown has 2,153 hotel rooms; the Prime Osbourn Convention Center has 160,000 square feet of meeting space.

• The city’s bounds include three beach communities —  Atlantic, Jacksonville and Neptune beaches. Jacksonville Beach is a 30-minute drive from downtown.

• Home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, the city is the smallest, based on television market, to have an NFL team.

• Jacksonville International Airport is 15 minutes from town. Fifteen airlines serve the city. Two major interstates, I-95 and I-10, cross in Jacksonville. Interstate 75 is 60 miles west of downtown.
