Hyatt’s Thompson Hotels Opening in Palm Springs

CHICAGO — Hyatt’s fast-growing Thompson Hotels brand recently opened its new Palm Springs property on September 5.

The Thompson Palm Springs offers more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, complemented by a dedicated team available to personalize each space for the occasion. The largest meeting space is the 6,200-square-foot San Jacinto Ballroom which can accommodate up to 600 people. The flexible ballroom can be separated into three smaller spaces, and the 1,100-square-foot Las Palmas room can accommodate up to 120 people in a theater-style setup.

The property has 168 guest rooms, 18 luxury suites, two restaurants, and a second-floor pool with mountain views. The hotel is located in the heart of the Design District, set amid art galleries, restaurants and historic buildings on Palm Canyon Drive in downtown.

The “bungalow-inspired” guest rooms and suites feature mid-century modern design and boast private balconies or patios that deliver views of the San Jacinto Mountains and surrounding desert.

Amenities at the Rat Pack-era-styled hotel – available to both guests and locals – include Lola Rose Grand Mezze restaurant with Middle Eastern cuisine, led by an award-winning chef, two outdoor pool venues with expansive views, plus state-of-the-art fitness, an on-site HALL Napa Valley Tasting Room, and over 35,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The property is a 15-minute drive from Palm Springs International Airport and about an hour from Ontario International Airport. Los Angeles International Airport is a 120-mile drive.
