Banyan Group Opens its First Standalone Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico

SINGAPORE — Banyan Group recently opened Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe, a luxurious well-being resort set in Mexico’s wine country. Accessible within 90 minutes from the U.S. border, the opening marks the first full-fledged property for the group’s dedicated well-being brand, Banyan Tree Veya.

“We are excited to debut our well-being-focused Veya brand in North America, where the wellness industry is booming, while also bringing something new to the region of Valle de Guadalupe, which is currently mostly known for its wine and culinary offerings,” said Peter Hechler, senior vice president, head of regional operations, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Americas at Banyan Group.

Banyan Tree Veya, meaning to weave, was created to provide a place of connection with oneself, others and nature. The resort blends into the rolling hills of Valle de Guadalupe. Nestled in the hills of Baja California, the 16-acre Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe features a bespoke collection of 30 villas with private plunge pools, a variety of well-being experiences and an ethnobotanical garden. The resort also offers a private winery that will debut its own exclusive collection of wines dedicated solely to Grenache, as well as several exceptional culinary outlets that are poised to stand out in the renowned wine region of Valle de Guadalupe.

Events

Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe offers an exceptional venue for events and celebrations with state-of-the-art facilities in a unique setting and curated and grounding activities for groups to enjoy the surrounding valley and its culture. An Events Manager will assist groups of all sizes, from small events to property buyouts. The property’s event spaces include the 1,484-square-foot Terrace, as well as Pictograma Winery and a variety of outdoor and culinary spaces to choose from.

Accommodations

Each villa at the resort features a private plunge pool, wine bar, luxurious bathroom, fireplace and an exterior terrace. Panoramic windows frame uninterrupted vistas, and organically crafted interiors showcase elegant furniture pieces crafted from Tzalam wood, sourced from the tropical forests of Mexico’s southern region.

Designed with well-being in mind, each villa also offers a range of high-end amenities, including yoga mats, floating weights and mindfulness aids. A standout villa includes the Winemaker’s Three-bedroom Pool Villa, with vineyard views suitable for six guests in over 3,400 square feet.

Well-being

Drawing on Asian traditions that date back centuries, Banyan Tree Veya’s well-being experiences are formed around the Banyan Group’s “8 Pillars of Well-being,” a foundation for a holistic and enriching journey toward overall well-being. Itineraries are customized around each individual from a questionnaire and pre-arrival consultation with a team of experts, including the spa manager.

The Veya Spa will be home to four treatment rooms, the Desert Spring hydrotherapy room, Vitality Fitness Studio, the White Cave for meditation and sound healing, Multifunction Movement Studio, two hilltop pools, a labyrinth, and a traditional Mexican temazcal (house of heat). The spa will offer a diverse range of treatments deeply rooted in Asian and local indigenous rituals, paired with homemade products from Veya Pharm, the property’s garden, and a range of unique well-being offerings. Integrating functional movement and mindful awareness, daily group and private classes include breathwork, singing bowl therapy, apothecary workshops, yoga, meditation and more.

Culinary

The resort’s seven culinary concepts aim to inspire conscious living, incorporating healthy ingredients and practices into both traditional and modern Mexican dishes made with fresh, locally harvested food that supports small farms and is sustainably sourced.

Located in northern Baja California, the resort is Banyan Group’s fifth property in the Mexico region and is accessible via San Diego or Tijuana International Airport. Starting rates for Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe begin at $599 a night. For more information on Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe, please visit veya.banyantree.com.
