BOISE, Idaho — The Inn at 500 Capitol in Boise, Idaho, recently debuted a major refresh, unveiling its new fine-dining restaurant and a new boardroom as the finishing touches of the hotel’s update.
The property has transformed its restaurant into Hemlock, a high-end steakhouse that’s now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hemlock also caters all events at the property.
The restaurant update also added a more private 270-square-foot boardroom to replace the previous small private dining room. The new boardroom, which can still be used for private dining, is accessible from the lobby instead of only through the restaurant and has new audiovisual equipment and added privacy.
Additional meeting space includes the divisible 1,800-square-foot Capitol Room and the small Sanctuary Room for up to 10 people.
The boutique steakhouse offers premium beef cuts sourced from Idaho ranches, bold flavors and inventive starters, and diners can opt for the restaurant’s signature experience: tableside baked potato service for two.
With 110 guest rooms and suites, the Inn at 500 Capitol’s full-property refresh included new fixtures, furniture, carpet and linens, while some suites received even more extensive updates and new artwork. The hotel also expanded the number of Boise Basque theme rooms.
The downtown hotel was also recently named Idaho’s Leading Hotel 2025 by World Travel Awards, which recognizes the top hotels in each state and hospitality and travel services worldwide.
