DALLAS — Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa, Florida’s award-winning oceanfront destination, is undergoing a sweeping renovation that reimagines nearly every corner of the property, bringing a modern perspective to the island’s rich cultural and natural heritage. The full transformation is scheduled to be completed by spring 2026, and several exciting milestones already debuted in fall 2025.
“Omni Amelia Island has long been celebrated for offering luxurious, nature-inspired experiences,” said Theo Schofield, managing director of the property. “This renovation will further elevate our guests’ journeys, infusing newly designed spaces with coastal character, locally inspired art and a refined sense of place.”
This past fall, guests experienced the first wave of the resort’s transformation.
Food and beverage upgrades include the recently renovated FloraBelle breakfast restaurant and buffet, which now welcomes guests with a fresh look and elevated dining experience. In addition, resort guests can enjoy Palmetto Press Coffee & Provisions, a new casual cafe concept offering fresh brews and light bites. Formerly known as Oceanside, Surfcaster is the resort’s beloved poolside eatery that reopened in November with a bold new identity. The new Nonna Mia, previously known as Verandah, reopened in December and offers an elevated dining experience with a nostalgic nod to Italian coastal cuisine.
As part of the artistic vision of the renovation, guests will encounter acclaimed artist Chera Brooker’s hand-painted murals throughout the resort. From exterior walls near Surfcaster to column murals throughout Nonna Mia, each piece offers a modern interpretation of Amelia Island’s natural and cultural history.
The transformation also includes the restoration of Oak Marsh Golf Course. Originally designed by Pete Dye and newly renovated by Beau Welling Design, Oak Marsh Golf Course has been beautifully restored. Players can enjoy improved playability, upgraded turf and drainage and the return of classic Dye features like strategic bunkers and winding marsh views.
In the updated lobby and lobby lounge, guests are now greeted with warm, coastal-modern interiors reflecting the island’s palette of earthy reds, golds, greens and ocean blues.
Reopening in early January, the reimagined Spa at Omni Amelia Island Resort will feature a new courtyard, relaxation room, upgraded locker rooms and private nooks for unwinding. The spa renovation blends Lowcountry zen with luxurious comfort, adding warm earth tones, natural materials and curated textures to set the scene for this peaceful escape.
As the resort’s transformation continues into 2026, guests can look forward to even more elevated experiences. Set to be completed by spring 2026, the refreshed oceanfront guest rooms will feature natural woven textures, layered patterns and a coastal-inspired palette of sun-washed hues.
Also to be completed this spring, the conference center — including three ballrooms, breakout meeting rooms and restrooms — is being fully renovated with elegant lighting and coastal-inspired details, creating versatile spaces ideal for conferences, corporate events and large gatherings.
