Developer Secures $103M Financing for Hyatt Regency Ontario Transformation

CHICAGO — The Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center in Ontario, California, is transforming into Hyatt Regency Ontario Airport, a fully reimagined destination including a comprehensive room redesign, new dining experiences and refreshed meeting spaces.

National CORE, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit developers and property managers of affordable housing, has closed approximately $103 million in bond financing to support the transformation of the Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center into Hyatt Regency Ontario, an upscale, full-service hospitality destination near Ontario International Airport.

The successful consummation of the bond offerings paves the way to a rapid renovation project that will reimagine the hotel, redefine hospitality in Southern California’s Inland Empire and drive economic growth in neighboring communities.

Every room and suite will be completely redesigned with thoughtful details, elevated comfort and a renewed sense of place. Each redesigned room will feature premium touches, complemented by expansive views that capture the energy of Ontario. Rooms will feature king or queen beds with refined linens; high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi; smart HDTVs with premium entertainment options; ergonomic work areas; and sleek, modern bathrooms with upscale finishes.

Meeting and event spaces will be reimagined to support gatherings of every size. With over 6,000 square feet of renovated atrium space and versatile ballroom configurations, the hotel can accommodate meetings, receptions, banquets and more. In addition to the light-filled atrium, the hotel offers the 5,300-square-foot Sierra Ballroom, the 2,683-square-foot Ponderosa Ballroom and six additional breakout rooms.

New dining venues will include a signature specialty restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine with a Southern California touch; an all-day dining restaurant and market serving breakfast, lunch, bar fare and room service; and a main lobby cocktail bar serving signature cocktails made with seasonal ingredients and small-batch and craft spirits from California and surrounding states.

As part of the hotel’s complete transformation, key guest spaces are being carefully redesigned to elevate the guest experience. A redesigned, spacious lobby will offer a welcoming arrival with refined finishes and inviting gathering areas. An upgraded fitness center, equipped with modern equipment, will be accessible day or night. Outdoors, the heated pool and hot tub will provide a relaxing retreat, with comfortable loungers and sun-filled spaces designed for unwinding in true Southern California style.

The project brings together the experienced team of Hyatt as franchisor, Manhattan Hospitality Advisors as hotel operator, M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates, Inc. as architect and National CORE as owner and developer.

Renovation work is ongoing, with the property expected to officially open as Hyatt Regency Ontario Airport in early 2027. For more information, visit hyatt.com.
