ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Millennium Alaskan Hotel has completed the first phase of a four-part, $5 million renovation that will  update the entire the hotel. The first phase added new lighting, carpeting, wall coverings and furnishings in the restaurant, bar and lobby. Guest rooms, meeting spaces and common areas are next on the list. Phase II will begin in May.

During the third phase later this summer, banquet facilities and a deck overlooking Lake Spenard will be remodeled, followed by the hotel’s 248 guest rooms in October.
