NAPLES, Fla. — The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is on schedule to complete $5 million in enhancements by the end of 2012.

Among the improvements is a 5,000-square-foot gulf-view ballroom that will be Naples’ only beachfront ballroom.

Also included in this project is the renovation of two of the resort’s small Gulfside meeting rooms and prefunction area and a wrap up of its guest room renovation, which will have, over the past three years, upgraded all 317 guest rooms and suites.

Over the past five years, the 125-acre resort has spent $40 million on improvements. In addition to the guest rooms renovations, the resort has enhanced its golf course, renovated and expanded its beach bar and grill and added a beachfront pool complex.

The resort, owned and operated by the Watkins family for three generations, has 34,000 square feet of meeting space. It is home to the city’s only beachfront restaurant, HB’s on the Gulf.
