A warm welcome from the Southeast Tourism Society
Regional cooperation is key to the story of the Southeast Tourism Society. Just shy of 30 years ago, a small group of travel and tourism leaders joined forces and created a nonprofit organization to promote and develop tourism throughout the region. Today, this powerful marketing alliance counts as its members some 900 organizations that represent all sorts of travel-related businesses.
STS promotes and develops tourism in 12 member states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Its members include: convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce and tourism authorities; state tourism departments; tourist attractions; hotels, resorts and other lodging businesses; tour companies; local, state and national parks; travel media; transportation companies; fairs, festivals and special events; and colleges and universities.
