What’s new: All meeting space has been renovated in the past two years. Seasons by the Lake restaurant was renovated and expanded in the spring. The golf course has been improved.

Kudos: The South Carolina Golf Course Rankings Panel ranked the 18-hole Walker Course the “Best in the Upstate” in 2009 and 2011.

Rooms: The James F. Martin Inn has 62 guest rooms and 27 suites, including two deluxe suites.

Meeting space: The Madren Conference Center has 17,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom, an executive boardroom, meeting rooms, seminar and training rooms, prefunction space and a tiered auditorium, with wireless and wired Internet access throughout. Terraces overlook landscaped gardens. The 10,000-square-foot Owen Pavilion has lake views.

Amenities: The complex has an outdoor pool, an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, a restaurant and lounge, complimentary breakfast, a fitness room, a 55,900-acre lake, a boat dock and a walking trail. The nearby South Carolina Botanical Garden and Clemson University recreation facility are open to guests.
