What’s new: The hotel and conference center opened in July 2010. Crestline Hotels and Resorts assumed management in April. A new chef has been hired, and menus have been upgraded.

Rooms: The inn has 148 rooms and a Presidential Suite with a living room, balcony and two adjoining guest rooms.

Meeting space: The 20,000-square-foot conference center is certified by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). The center has two ballrooms, 10 meeting rooms and a prefunction lobby.

Amenities: Parking is free, including some spaces in a parking garage with elevator access to the hotel. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout and on-site audiovisual support is offered. Other amenities include a business center, a full-service restaurant, a lounge, guest passes to the university’s fitness facilities and free shuttles around campus and to the Vienna Metro station.

Recognitions: The inn is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold Certified and has earned a Silver Tier rating from IACC for sustainability.

Location: The Mason Inn is in Northern Virginia on George Mason University’s Fairfax campus, a half-hour west of Washington. Nearby airports are Washington Dulles International Airport (14 miles), Washington Reagan National Airport (19 miles), Baltimore Washington International Airport (55 miles).
