What’s new: The Omni New Haven Hotel recently renovated its guest rooms and redid its lobby. The Study at Yale opened in 2008. Mory’s restaurant and bar reopened in 2010. The Yale Art Gallery will reopen late this year after a major renovation. Gateway Community College will open a downtown campus in August. The Courtyard Marriott added 47 rooms in 2010 and renovated its lobby in 2011. The New Haven Hotel was renovated in 2010.

Rooms: New Haven has 1,396 guest rooms and 28,882 square feet of meeting space.

Location: New Haven is on the north shore of Long Island Sound, at the juncture of Interstates 91 and 95, between Boston and New York.

Getting there:
New Haven’s Tweed Airport, served by US Airways to Philadelphia, is 10 minutes from downtown. Bradley International Airport, 45 minutes north, is served by nine major carriers. Amtrak and the Metro-North Railroad serve New Haven’s Union Station.
