Kudos: Chateau Elan received a AAA Four-Diamond rating for 2013. The resort’s wines have won hundreds of national and international awards.

Rooms: The inn has 275 guest rooms, including 22 suites, a hospitality suite, a governor’s suite and a presidential suite. There are 10 villas on the 15th fairway of the Chateau Course. The Chateau Elan Spa, housed in its own mansion, has 14 guest suites.

Meeting space: The resort’s 25,000-square-foot conference center encompasses two ballrooms, 19 conference rooms, two boardrooms, and a tiered auditorium.

Amenities: In addition to its winery and spa, Chateau Elan has eight restaurants, four golf courses, seven tennis courts, four swimming pools — two resistance — a fitness center, nature trails, jogging trail, bicycle rentals and trail, horseshoes, basketball half courts, volleyball courts, a Skip Barber Driving School, an equestrian show center and a ropes course.

Location: Chateau Elan is about 40 minutes from downtown Atlanta and less than an hour from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. From Atlanta or the Hartsfield-Jackson airport, guests take I-85 North to Exit 126 and turn left. Chateau Elan is the first gate on the left.
