What’s new: A rooftop garden is in the works; a private room adjacent to it, with views of the river and downtown, is available. Several retail outlets, including an ice cream shop, will be added along the hotel’s Main Street side. The hotel’s Suite Tower uses geothermal heating and air conditioning.
Rooms: The hotel is the largest in Kentucky, with 1,290 guest rooms and suites
Meeting space: The Galt House’s 128,000 square feet of convention and meeting space is distributed between its two towers in as many as 50 meeting rooms. The hotel is adjacent to the 22,000-seat KFC Yum! Center Arena and is connected by skywalk to the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Amenities: Seven full-service restaurants and lounges include Rivue, a revolving restaurant on the 25th floor; a 24-hour deli; and the Conservatory, a bar and lounge in the three-story connector that links the hotel towers. An outdoor pool and a fitness center overlook the Ohio River.
