What’s new: The Peaks spent  $13 million on a  2010-11 renovation. Guest rooms were renovated and meeting space was added.

Accolades: Conde Naste Traveler ranked the spa at The Peaks among the top 15 spas in the U.S. in 2011 and ranked Telluride Ski Resort – which includes a ski run that goes into the resort’s ski-in, ski-out level – the No. 1 ski resort in America in 2012. The Peaks’ spa is Colorado’s largest with 32 treatment rooms.

Rooms: The 168 guest rooms, include 32 suites. Every room has king beds.

Meeting space: The resort has 9,000 square feet of meeting space and 10,000 square feet of outdoor event space. Two new decks and the Mount Wilson Terrace have mountain views.

Location: The Peaks is in Telluride, 360 miles southwest of Denver and 320 miles north of Albuquerque, N.M. The nearest airport is Montrose County Airport, 70 miles north of Telluride.

Amenities: The Peaks offers ski-in, ski-out access to Telluride Ski Resort and “tee-in, tee-out” access to the adjoining 18-hole Telluride Golf Course. Retail space on the resort’s lowest level alternates between a ski shop and a golf pro shop. Onsite dining options include Palmyra and Legends restaurants. The Peaks spa offers massages and other treatments and has a full-service salon, a fitness center, a climbing wall, saunas, an indoor lap pool and an indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tubs.
