LANSING, Michigan— Lansing, Michigan, welcomed two new hotels in August, along with an upscale Italian steakhouse. The adjoining meeting hotels are located in the $260 million Red Cedar mixed-use development just two miles west of Michigan State University.
The 156-room AC Hotel Lansing University Area and the adjacent 139-room Hyatt House Lansing / University Area share amenities, such as meeting space, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center.
The AC Hotel has more than 3,300 square feet of event space, including a 2,900-square-foot meeting room that can be halved, as well as two additional breakout rooms. The Hyatt House’s 683-square-foot event space can accommodate up to 46 people.
The upscale AC Hotel caters to business travelers, while Hyatt House is a pet-friendly, extended-stay property with guest rooms that feature kitchens with dishes, refrigerators and induction burners for cooking.
Toscano is a Tuscan steakhouse that features a self-serve wine wall and an authentic Italian menu offering pastas, steak and seafood. The restaurant is connected to the dual-hotel complex but also has its own entrance and valet parking.
Just outside the hotels’ doors, visitors will find a bookstore and coffee shop, a tea and pastry shop, a tropical smoothie café, and an Irish pub serving fish and chips and other pub fare.
