Arkansas’ Oaklawn Racing Gaming Resort Opens New Hotel and Event Center

HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas  – Oaklawn Racing Gaming Resort in Hot Springs, Arkansas, officially opened its new luxurious hotel, spa and event center on April 21.

Included in the expansion project is a 15,000-square-foot event center that can seat up to 1,500 people. Conferences, concerts and dinners will take place in the space which features a 1,900-square-foot stage with a large video wall. Four meeting rooms are available for smaller gatherings or for breakout sessions. Each room is named after the area’s recreational lakes: Catherine, Hamilton, Ouachita and DeGray.

The Hotel at Oaklawn is eight stories tall featuring 198 rooms including two presidential suites. Located adjacent to the racetrack, patrons on one side can watch thoroughbred racing from the comforts of their room.

A luxury spa is available for guests and includes unique characteristics such as a needle shower, which represents the history of the iconic Bathhouse Row at Hot Springs National Park. A Himalayan Salt Wall has also been constructed in the spa which serves to reduce stress and increase energy levels.

Outside, patrons and guests will have access to a swimming pool and a pool bar serving food and drinks poolside or to a private cabana.

The expanded gaming center represents the first phase of the project. It opened in early 2020 creating space for more than 1,500 slot machines and 33 gaming tables. A High Limits area with three high limit blackjack tables is also included.

Several new food and beverage venues have also been opened including The Bugler, which is a signature fine dining restaurant overlooking the Oaklawn racetrack and infield, the First Turn Bar which also overlooks the track, and a Food Court.
