Basketball Hall of Fame: Where Banquets Meet Basketball

Catering

Aside from the ample number of global cuisines served at the on-site restaurants around the building, the catering options at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame include options from decadently upscale to deliciously healthy. The hall employs an exclusive caterer on-site for all food, beverage, table, chair and linen rentals. The catering team can prepare box lunches for meetings, plated dinners for wedding receptions, and passed hors d’oeuvres for banquets and after-hours affairs. Of course, courtside favorites like chili dogs, chicken wings and cold beers are available, but the culinary team can whip up any number of gourmet treats with a classy New England flair for presentation.

Extras

Entertaining guests between and during meetings is a breeze at the Hall of Fame. Not only is it conveniently located right off Interstate 91 close to Springfield’s hottest sights, but also the building boasts its own on-site hotel, fitness facility, and five restaurants: Max’s Tavern, Cold Stone Creamer, Samuel’s and J. Quincy’s sports bar, Subway and UNO Chicago Grill. Hundreds of exhibits in the museum section are available for visitors to explore, and the events team gladly arranges scavenger hunts, team activities and contests on the court for between activities. One of the most popular postmeeting activities is dancing on the Center Court to a live band or one of the best DJs in the area.

Work as a Team

Based around one of America’s greatest team sports, the Hall of Fame offers some amazing opportunities to perfect and promote the concept of working together as a team. The hall works with the Boston-based leadership-consulting firm OIC Group to organize fun sports-themed team-building events. Run by Jonathan Golding, the OIC Group specializes in getting groups to work together with his customizable high-impact events. His sessions lay a great foundation for a memorable bachelor party or military reunion, or even just a great add-on event for a corporate retreat in Springfield.
