MCLEAN, Virginia — Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s newest hotel, the Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown, is set to open early December. Reservations are open beginning on January 10, but the hotel will move up availability as it locks in opening day.
The Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown will also boast 16,400 square feet of meeting space. The largest venue is the 9,000-square-foot Legacy ballroom, which can be split into three smaller spaces. The 2,500-square-foot Parlour meeting room features hardwood floors, a fireplace and large windows and can also be divided. A boardroom overlooking Levitt at the Falls has its own patio, and groups can choose from several other meeting rooms and function spaces.
Located in the downtown Steel District, the hotel sits along the Big Sioux River, next to Falls Park, and has 216 guest rooms, all of which are nearly complete with only minor details left to finish. Crews are also putting the finishing touches on the hotel’s public spaces.
An onsite restaurant, Cascata, will offer a full menu of Italian-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, served in a setting featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a two-sided fireplace. Cascata will be able to seat 100 guests inside, plus another 100 on a patio overlooking Falls Park. There is also a bar area with its own menu and an adjacent coffee shop, Torrent Coffee Bar.
Executive Chef Chris Hodapp and Director of Food and Beverage Jeren Melius will lead the culinary team.
