CHARLESTON, W.V. – Though the Charleston Marriott Town Center hotel just turned 30, much of the hotel looks brand new thanks to a recent $8 million remodeling. The capital city hotel now has a new lobby, bar, front desk, fireplace and redesigned guest rooms.

Opened in 1982, the downtown hotel has hosted more than 2.8 million guests, including Tom Selleck, Dolly Parton and Larry Bird. To update the hotel’s look, designers reimagined the lobby with an open-concept environment, comfortable spaces with free Wi-Fi and kiosks that replace the traditional front desk.

Guest rooms also received a facelift. High-speed wireless Internet access was added. Other additions include ergonomic desk chairs, upscale bedding and Bath and Body Works products in bathrooms.

The hotel has 14 meeting rooms, a total of 17,500 square feet of flexible meeting space. For more information, visit Charleston Marriott Town Center Hotel’s website.
