Cultural
Concord

The Better Breakfast Buffet

Nothing rouses the troops and gets them going for a day of statistical analysis, team-building or restructuring talks like a good breakfast. Concord’s many local bakeries can supply morning munchies that will invigorate and inspire. A local favorite is Bread and Chocolate, where sticky buns and fruit tarts are worth writing about. Another Concord offering is the Works Bakery Cafe, famous for The Works bagel with eggs and real Vermont cheddar. Both bakeries have catering services.

Making New History

For would-be historians in the entourage, the Capitol is a great place to start a venture into Concord’s past. Constructed of famed New Hampshire granite, it is open for public tours. Close by and worth exploring is the New Hampshire State Library. Built in 1895, the library still serves the state’s lawmakers, as well as the general public.

Meetings the Concord Way

There are a variety of artistic and cultural spaces in downtown Concord. Smaller groups can hold events at off-site venues, such as the Capitol Center for the Arts or the adjacent historic Kimball House. This Victorian-era beauty handles events for up to 75 people and is perfect for formal dinners and lunches.

The Centennial Hotel, a Victorian-era mansion renovated with modern amenities such as plasma televisions and surround-sound presentation capabilities, promises a conference experience as high-tech as it is high-class.
