Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center Undergoes Transformation, Welcomes New Director of Sales and Marketing

HAMPTON, Virginia— Visitors to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center in Virginia will find transformed accommodations after the hotel’s six-month, multimillion-dollar makeover.

Featuring newly renovated guest suites, the 295-key hotel is operated by Alpharetta, Georgia-based Atrium Hospitality, which manages a portfolio of more than 80 hotels in 28 states and approximately 3 million square feet of event space.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton’s redesigned guest suites and bathrooms – including two presidential suites – feature new, modern furniture and fixtures in a simplistic style, complemented by textiles and artwork. New 55-inch televisions are included in each suite’s living room and bedroom. The hotel’s open-air atrium lobby and corridors are also freshly painted.

Guests can take a whole-room approach to rest and relaxation by selecting wellness rooms, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton’s premium room upgrade offering a curated collection of wellness products and amenities.

Ideal Hotel for Gatherings

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton is the largest hotel in Hampton and the only all-suite, full-service hotel in the city. The Green Key-certified hotel is next door to the Hampton Roads Convention Center and is within walking distance to the Hampton Coliseum and the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.

With nearly 4,000 square feet of hotel indoor event space, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton’s flexible, 3,237-square-foot Mercury Ballroom can be configured for a range of gatherings, seating up to 140 at rounds or accommodating 150 for a reception.

For larger events, the Hampton Roads Convention Center is connected to the hotel by a covered walkway and offers 344,000 square feet of meeting space and 35 event spaces.

Welcoming New Director of Sales and Marketing

Atrium Hospitality also welcomes Ryan Taylor as director of sales and marketing at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center. Taylor joins Atrium with 15 years of hospitality experience, including in hotel operations and sales roles. Most recently, Taylor was director of sales and marketing at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Charlottesville in Virginia. During the past five years, he has worked in sales management with Hilton properties in North Carolina, including at the Hilton Garden Inn Greensboro Airport and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Greensboro. Prior to pursuing sales, Taylor held the hotel positions of assistant general manager and front office manager. Taylor received a Master of Arts in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from American Public University.
