Television turns to Schwartz
Because of her eight years as a Washington insider, television networks have turned to Schwartz for commentary and viewpoints, particularly during presidential campaigns.
She has appeared on the “CBS Early Show,” “Fox News,” CNN, MSNBC and the BBC and has been featured in a number of national magazines and major newspapers.
Admired for her charitable work, Schwartz is the emcee for the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk in Chicago’s Grant Park and serves on the board for the AHA. She also is the emcee of the United Way’s annual Community Celebration, which recognizes corporate leaders and volunteers around the country.
Recent recognitions include a Leadership in Education award in 2007 from the American University, Chicago Magazine’s Five “Most Bold and Beautiful” for her community contributions in 2010; and one of Today’s Chicago Woman Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Women in 2011.
Earlier this year, she received the Steve Kemble Leadership Foundation Award for Achievement in Excellence, given each year to one person who, through service and contributions, has demonstrated excellence in the special-event industry.
In addition to networking, she speaks about numerous other topics including modern politics, the White House past and present, international affairs, women in politics and philanthropy.
