Exclusive Venues in Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores & Islands Region (Sponsored)

RETHINK your next event location and discover what’s beyond the typical meeting destinations and satisfy what your attendees are really looking for. Smaller meetings have the unique ability to hold events in truly distinctive locations – no boring conference rooms! Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores & Islands has a number of these exclusive locations which will have your participants talking about you long after your meeting.

Camp Perry Conference Center – Don’t let the “conference center” name fool you. If having your meeting in a former WWII prisoner-of-war camp and military training facility doesn’t pique your interest, perhaps you’ll be enticed by the amazing waterfront views. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, Camp Perry’s ability to host meetings of all sizes just steps from a beach is enhanced by a lakefront wall of windows and a variety of onsite lodging options for your guests, from cottages, a motel, and even an RV campground. The conference center offers up to three meeting rooms and additional smaller meeting spaces with all the amenities of a large business facility. Camp Perry is a military and civilian training facility, which has hosted the National Rifle Matches since 1906.

Liberty Aviation Museum – Consider a meeting in an airplane hangar. Liberty Aviation Museum, located adjacent to the Erie/Ottawa International Airport, allows a truly exclusive opportunity to have your event amongst WWII vehicles and classic aircraft. An onsite conference room with A/V capabilities allows space for learning activities or more intimate meetings, paired with a tour of the museum’s collection. Feed your attendees with delicious eats from the onsite Tin Goose Diner, proudly serving authentic diner fare from a fully-restored 1950s stainless steel diner.

Millsite Lodge/Farrell House Lodge – Pair your event with the beauty of nature or outdoor sports at a fishing/hunting lodge. Both options offer accommodations as well as meeting space. Millsite Lodge is a tranquil 1880s homestead perfect for reunions, business luncheons, weddings, and more. With space for meetings, breakout sessions, and meals, catering can be pre-arranged. Farrell House Lodge is an 1890s replica of a southern mansion on the grounds of the Sunnybrook Trout Club. Meeting and banquet facilities are available, as well as ten guest rooms. Both lodges offer onsite trout fishing at the adjacent Cold Creek, which maintains its temperature year-round and never freezes.

Merry-Go-Round Museum – Distinctive events can be held among intricately-carved carousel animals with an included spin on the museum’s merry-go-round. Housed in a former post office building, this museum is popular with the young and the young-at-heart. Nostalgia abounds when you host your meeting or after-hours social gathering with the “oom pa pa” of the band organ playing. A meeting room is available, as well as whole-museum rental.
