FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 165-room hotel to open this spring near Fort Bragg and the Fayetteville Regional Airport will be the most upscale property in the city.

The Embassy Suites Fayetteville/Fort Bragg will have 12,000 square feet of meeting space, including an 8,200-square-foot ballroom, a private dining room, several breakout spaces and patios and prefunction areas.

The city began pursuing the project two years ago. It wanted to secure a high-end hotel with enough conference space to meet the growing demand due to an increased population at Fort Bragg from BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure).

The hotel is near Cross Creek Mall, downtown Fayetteville and offices of major corporations including Goodyear.
