ST. PETE BEACH, Florida— Beachfront property adds 141 rooms, zip line on the beach and a new restaurant and now has more than 70,000 square feet of combined meeting space.
TradeWinds Island Resorts – which includes the Island Grand and RumFish Beach Resort on 40 acres in St. Pete Beach, Florida – has added 141 guest rooms, along with a new zip line on the beach and a new Mexican restaurant at the Island Grand. The 141 rooms were part of the property formerly known as the Alden Suites, which TradeWinds acquired last March and incorporated into the RumFish Beach Resort. The expansion brings the RumFish Beach Resort room count to 353, for a total of 899 guest rooms at TradeWinds Island Resorts.

The 141 newly renovated, all-suite guest rooms include Gulf-front and resort-view villas, as well as seven two-bedroom villa lanais. The expansion added two pools, a covered spa area and a beachfront bar. The two connecting resorts also offer over 50,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and another 20,000 square feet of outdoor venues.
Resort guests can enjoy unlimited rides on TradeWinds’ new Zing Ray Zip, a three-story, dual-line zip line on the beach. More activities and amenities will debut this summer, including the Aqua-Bana, a 10-person covered floating cabana, and water’s edge chair and umbrella service, now offered at both properties.
At the Island Grand, the new Bermudas Beachside Cantina is a Mexican restaurant and bar that dishes up Gulf-front views. The cantina is open Thursday through Monday for dinner service.
