FREDERICKSBURG, Virginia— The city of Fredericksburg, Virginia, has committed to making a significant investment in its convention center to refresh, renovate and upgrade the space.
The Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center will soon undergo necessary improvements to the facility, a center representative said. Enhancements to the 120,000-square-foot Expo Center include upgrading the HVAC, lighting, security and audiovisual systems, along with new paint, carpet, furnishings and more. The city of Fredericksburg, along with SAJ Entertainment, will fund the estimated $750,000 worth of improvements over the next five years.
“The Expo Center plays a big role in the economic impact in Fredericksburg,” said General Manager Marlene Camp, with OVG360, which manages the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center. “The renovations and upgrades we have planned for the venue are important for us to continue to compete as a meeting destination. We can’t wait to share the renovations with our partners and guests.”
City officials expect work on the center’s improvement projects could get underway within the next few months.
