ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Barnsley Gardens Resort has expanded one of its most popular meeting spaces.

The 3,300-acre resort in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills renovated and expanded its 2,457-square-foot Pavilion early this year. The event space now has a large covered terrace, allowing groups to move outdoors.

In addition, Barnsley Gardens has a 1,440-square-foot Town Hall, two executive boardrooms, and a number of outdoor venues such as the the Ruins, the remains of the property’s historic manor house. The resort has 87 guest rooms in traditional rooms, suites and cottages.

Team building has become one of the specialties at the resort, 60 miles north of Atlanta. Ridin’ and Rodeoin’ teaches participants rodeo skills and games on horseback, led by the resort’s cowboy. Other options are a clay-shooting class at Springbank Plantation, the resort’s on-site hunting preserve; Frisbee golf; scavenger hunts and orienteering.

When groups have down time, there are plenty of ways to pass an afternoon.  A spa with 10 treatment rooms helps visitors destress. The resort also offers golf, horseback riding, tennis, hiking trails, canoeing and kayaking.
