ROHNERT PARK, California — Graton Resort & Casino in Northern California recently broke ground on a major hotel expansion that will add two new hotel wings with 220 guest rooms to the current 200-room tower. The new development is part of a $1 billion expansion taking place at the Sonoma County resort in Rohnert, about an hour’s drive north of San Francisco. The hotel wings are scheduled to debut in 2027.
The two new wings will seamlessly extend from the existing hotel tower. These additions feature 220 new rooms, designed with a contemporary aesthetic consistent with Graton’s high standards of luxury. Guests will experience an expanded lobby retail shop, offering a selection of luxury items, as well as a new private VIP entrance for an even more exclusive arrival. This phase of the expansion includes a second pool that will be for adults only, as well as a poolside bar, a jacuzzi, a fixed stage for poolside entertainment and events, and a dozen cabanas, including VIP cabanas with private plunge pools.
The resort has over 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including The Event, which can be used as one main room, seating up to 1,500, or can be used as seven breakout spaces. For additional needs, three meeting rooms are located adjacent to the main room.
Casino executives and tribal council members of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria participated in a commemorative photo opportunity this summer, continuing the $1 billion expansion that began in 2023.
