Headquarters? The Hyatt Regency Riverfront

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront makes sure its guests don’t forget where they are. Developers wisely made sure the hotel’s design emphasized its enviable position near the St. John’s River, which flows through the city.

Northwest Florida’s largest convention hotel, the Hyatt is the host hotel for the 2012 SMM Conference.

Many of the hotel’s 963 guest rooms have river views. So do many of its meeting spaces, including the River Terrace Room, a popular venue for dinners of up to 450. The river’s also the backdrop for 20,000 square feet of multi-level terraces and for an equal amount of preconference space.

The Hyatt’s meeting space, 110,000 square feet in total, is compactly laid out on the property’s second and third floors. The largest space is a 28,000-square-foot ballroom.

Geared to business clients, Hyatt is outfitted with a FedEx office and a 24-hour business center. Wifi is offered in public areas.

For leisure time, there is a sports bar outfitted with four high-definition television screens and a lobby lounge. Mornings can start with a swim in the rooftop pool or a walk along the four-mile boardwalk along the river, directly across from the hotel. For meals or snacks, there’s a high-end steakhouse, a casual restaurant and  a bagel shop.

For qualified meeting planners, the conference includes two nights’ complimentary lodging at the Hyatt (as well as up to $400 credit toward transportation costs).
