Hilton College Station and Conference Center Undergoing $18 Million Renovation

COLLEGE STATION, Texas— Work is underway on an $18 million renovation of the Hilton College Station hotel and conference center, located less than two miles from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Construction began in December and is scheduled to take about 18 months, with completion slated for May 2024, according to The Eagle’s Feb. 4 article about the project.

Renovation work began one month after the College Station Hospitality Group bought the property in November. Crews began renovation work on Dec. 15 with the demolition of the outdoor pool, which will feature a new bar when it’s rebuilt.

While work is currently focused on the exterior – including new paint and an architectural steel feature – lobby renovations are expected to begin in late February and room renovations should start by April. The hotel, which opened in 1985, will modernize all 303 guest rooms and redo bathrooms with walk-in showers. The hotel will close one floor at a time to continue to operate during renovation work on guest rooms.

Renovations will include the Hilton’s meeting spaces, which will total 28,000 square feet of function space when construction is complete.

The hotel will also add a rooftop bar on the 11th floor that will overlook Kyle Field and provide views of the city.
