MCLEAN, Virginia — Hilton College Station & Conference Center recently celebrated its grand reopening following a $28 million, 2.5-year renovation that updated guest rooms and added amenities, including a rooftop bar and a large event space.
Completed over multiple phases, the project focused on systematic updates and new additions. The first phase refurbished facades, repainted roofs and refreshed signage. The second phase involved significant renovation and updating of common areas, including the lobby and meeting rooms. The final phase renovated all 301 guest rooms, adding special amenities to enhance the guest experience.
Following the renovation, Hilton College Station now has 32,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Bluebonnet Ballroom is the hotel’s largest event space at 11,360 square feet, while the Oakwood Ballroom has 7,575 square feet.
Among the highlights of the renovation is The Chancellor, a speakeasy-style bar that offers a unique venue for guests. The hotel also debuted Reveille, a rooftop bar that delivers panoramic city views from the top of the 11-story building. The project also renovated The Dean restaurant, which serves Southern-inspired cuisine and has a full-service bar.
Groups can also try Lone Star Peak Performance’s aerial ropes course or climbing and rappelling wall, as well as its axe- and knife-throwing range. Adjacent to this area is the hotel’s newly renovated pool featuring Offshore Bar & Grill.
Located in College Station, Texas, home to Texas A&M University’s flagship campus, the project aimed to modernize and revitalize the property for locals and visitors alike. The renovation is a significant milestone in the hotel’s 40-year history.
