Hotel Arden Opens in Downtown Dayton

MCLEAN, Virginia — Hotel Ardent Dayton Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton recently opened in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Housed in the 1925 Barclay Building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Hotel Ardent blends the historic character of the building with a modern aesthetic.

First Investors developed and owns the hotel, which is managed by First Hospitality, Hotel Management magazine reported. The property has 118 guest rooms and suites, intimate event spaces, including the 580-square-foot Skyview Room for small meetings and events, and an upscale fitness center with a dedicated yoga studio. The property marks First Investors’ first project in Dayton, David Duncan, CEO of First Hospitality and First Investors, said in a statement.

Bistecca, the hotel’s upscale Italian steakhouse, is set to open in April, serving up Tuscany-inspired dishes, such as handmade pastas, wood-fired grill selections and signature cocktails.

Hotel Ardent is located in Dayton’s Theater District, within walking distance to attractions like the Dayton Art Institute, the Victoria Theater and the Schuster Performing Arts Center. The Dayton Convention Center and Day Air Ballpark, home to the Dayton Dragons Minor League Baseball, are both half mile away, and the University of Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital are less than two miles. Guests can also rent bikes and access miles of paved trails within walking distance.
