Hotel on the Plains

Catering

The Historic Plains Hotel began catering to the needs of captains of industry in 1911, and today the hotel continues that legacy with its dedicated catering department for groups and events. The team offers signature banquet menus that can be customized to meet any budget or dietary requirements. Early risers rave about the cheese blintzes and mimosas on the brunch menu and the caramel lattes with cappuccino muffins on the coffee break menu; dinner guests fill their plates with candied ketchup meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes. Alcohol is available.

Extras

Guests staying at the hotel will enjoy spacious rooms and have 24-hour access to room service. Other dining options on-site are the haute Western-style cuisine at the Plains Hotel Restaurant and the Trail Coffee Shoppe, which offers coffees and teas along with a selection of fresh sandwiches to go. The hotel also features a fitness center for guests. The meeting staff works with each planner individually to craft unique programs and activities for meeting guests, and they can arrange tours or offer suggestions for how to spend the day in Cheyenne.

Around Town

Cheyenne is home to the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and tons of world-class outdoor activities, and they’re all located just steps from the Historic Plains Hotel. The nearby Atlas Theatre was a candy store back in 1887 but today features the remarkable talent from Cheyenne’s Little Theater Players Company. And the Cheyenne Civic Center Performing Arts Theatre has been showcasing world-class concerts and Broadway musicals for more than 30 years. Also nearby are the Wyoming State Museum and the Wyoming State Capitol, the Terry Bison Ranch, the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the Nelson Museum of the West.
