Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort Premieres Renovated Meeting Space

BONITA SPRINGS, Florida — The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa Contemporary debuted its new decor in the Calusa Ballroom and accompanying foyer and meeting rooms in September with the Fort Myers-Sanibel Visitor and Convention Bureau Awards breakfast. With more than 500 in attendance, the 14,000-square-foot ballroom showed off its new look with LED lighting, neutral wall coverings, digital signage, dramatic glass light fixtures, and contemporary furnishings and artwork. The $2.4 million renovation took just four weeks to complete.

“We look forward to many more memorable events in our beautiful new event space,” said Brian Kramer, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa.

The Calusa Ballroom redecorating included the following:

  • A $2.4 million renovation
  • New lighting fixtures, chandeliers and sconces
  • American black walnut accent flooring in the prefunction areas
  • LED lighting
  • Charging stations for portable devices
  • Digital signage
  • Contemporary furnishings, wall coverings, art and styling

In various configurations, the Calusa Ballroom provides meeting and convention space for up to 1,500 people with space in the prefunction and terrace areas holding up to a combined 1,350.

Voted “Best Conference and Meeting Hotel” by Gulfshore Business Magazine, the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa has more than 70,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for business and social gatherings.
