CHICAGO —Hyatt Regency Greenwich and Trinity Investments recently announced the completion of the historic hotel’s $40-million renovation in the heart of Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Once home to Conde Nast’s printing operation, the property invites guests and community members to enjoy the modern yet charming guest rooms along with various common spaces, including Townsend Bar and Glenna’s Cafe and Market, which are open to the public.
Hyatt Regency Greenwich is also an ideal venue for all types of events. With the recent renovation, the 28,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces — including the refreshed junior ballroom and atrium — feature natural light, scenic views of the foliage, a modern aesthetic and top-of-the-line meeting and banquet amenities.
All guest rooms at Hyatt Regency Greenwich have been renovated and redecorated to feature signature beds, open storage areas, a dedicated workstation and more. Each guest room is inspired by the color scheme and ambiance of Connecticut and the Long Island Sound. Among the 374 remodeled guest rooms is the newly designed Residential Suite tailored for long-term visitors. Suite guests can enjoy a 600-square-foot room with an atrium view featuring an array of in-room amenities, such as washer and dryer, a kitchenette, a dining table for four, two 65-inch televisions with streaming capabilities, a king-sized bed and a full sleeper sofa.
Townsend, the hotel’s moonlit bar, is set beneath an atrium and surrounded by 2,300 lush plants. Townsend’s food philosophy celebrates local farmers, delivering cuisine rooted in the culinary heritage of New England and the greater New York City area.
Hyatt Regency Greenwich has also re-introduced its brunch service, held on the second Sunday of each month. The tradition features special holiday editions, including Mother’s Day and Easter, and is held in the hotel’s Garden Court. Tickets for the brunch are available for advance purchase.
Complementing the culinary offerings, The Library Lounge, designed with Old-World, gentleman-style ambiance, provides a place to relax with a drink, play billiards, browse vintage Condé Nast publications or select a cigar from the humidor.
“We’re thrilled to see the completion of Hyatt Regency Greenwich’s renovation,” said General Manager Sherry Hicks-Buckles. “This transformation is a reflection of our deep commitment to the community, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed and rejuvenated space, where they can create new memories for many years to come.”
