Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City Set to Debut in October

SALT LAKE CITY Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Utah, is set to debut in October. Located downtown, the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be the only hotel directly adjoining the Salt Palace Convention Center. The hotel’s opening will bring 60,000 square feet of meeting space to downtown, including one of the city’s largest hotel ballrooms and an outdoor rooftop event terrace.

The upcoming opening of Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City marks the largest convention hotel to debut in nearly 20 years in Utah’s capital. Salt Lake City is currently one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., is home to many corporate headquarters and serves as a gateway to Silicon Slopes, Utah’s startup and tech region in the Wasatch Mountains.

Located one block from Salt Lake City’s Main Street, the 25-story hotel will feature a glass façade. The top floors will offer 700 guest rooms and suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city skyline and nearby mountains. Rooms will feature tech-forward conveniences such as streaming capabilities, a smart mirror vanity and digital room entry via the World of Hyatt app.

The lobby will serve as a central place to gather complete with a double-sided fireplace, seating areas and locally inspired artwork. Three dining venues will offer a range of ambiance and culinary experiences, including Contribution, an upscale street-facing bar; The Salt Republic, a spacious open-kitchen American bistro; and Market, a local artisan grab-and-go store. Mar | Muntanya, a Spanish-inspired specialty restaurant, will be housed on the sixth-floor rooftop terrace adjacent to an outdoor heated pool, cabanas and fire pits.

The Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will provide a mix of indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities for hosting both small- and large-scale gatherings. Spaces will include two expansive ballrooms, breakout rooms, pre-function space, an outdoor event terrace and a Broadcast Lounge, one of the first of its kind to debut across the Hyatt Regency brand.

The hotel less than seven miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport and is located near many area attractions. Vivint Arena, Temple Square, Capitol Theatre, City Creek Center and Main Street are within walking distance, as are the Sugar House and the 9th and 9th neighborhoods. Guests can also experience nine ski resorts  within an hour’s drive including Park City and Deer Valley.
