LEESBURG, Va. – The Lansdowne Resort has named Lloyd Williams general manager. He was previously managing director at Innisbrook Resort near Tampa, Fla.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Broadmoor has promoted Maureen Carter as sales manager for the western region. She oversees sales to Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii. Carter came to the Broadmoor in 2005 as executive meeting manager.

HARRISBURG, Penn. – Penny Brady is meetings and conventions sales manager for the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau. She replaces Scott Hammonds, who retired in March 2012. Brady most recently worked at the Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg as corporate sales manager.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Bryan Lavin from national sales manager to director of national accounts. Lavin has been with the bureau since 2007. He also serves as vice president of marketing and communications for Meeting Planners International, New England chapter.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin CVB has selected Julie Chase as vice president of marketing and tourism. Chase has served as Texas tourism director since 2003.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Sascha Hemmann has been named general manager of the Founders Inn and Spa. Hemmann has worked with the Capella Hotel Group, the Founders Inn’s management firm, for three years. Most recently he was general manager for the Solis Vanke Hotel and Conference Center in Shenzhen, China.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Brent Hill has joined the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront as associate director of sales. Hill was director of group sales for the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit.

MAUI, Hawaii – The Wailea Resort and Spa has hired Michael Stephens as general manager and Anita Rahman as director of sales. Stephens has worked for Hyatt Hotels 26 years, most recently as general manager of Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz. Rahman came to the Hyatt in 2000. Prior to her hire, she was director of sales and catering at Andaz San Diego.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Hyatt of Main, Green Bay has appointed Tim Farel as general manager. For the past 24 years, Farel worked for seven North American Hyatts, most recently as executive assistant manager of Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago.
