LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has hired Rosanne Mastin as senior assistant for the convention development department. Mastin previously served as events manager at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
OAK BROOK, Ill. – Simon A. Fricker has joined Le Méridien Chicago as general manager. The hotel is scheduled to open April 2014. Fricker has over 20 years of hospitality experience, including his most recent position as director of food and beverage for the Mandarin Oriental Miami.
NAPA, Calif. – The Westin Verasa Napa has appointed James Molina as conference services manager. Molina served as sales coordinator of the San Francisco metro market for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco.
ITASCA, Ill. – Michael D. Welly is the new general manager for Eaglewood Resort and Spa, a Benchmark Resort. Welly held the position of general manager of Longboat Key Club and Resort in Sarasota, Fla.
PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens has hired Nikki Beall and Rebecca Smith as conference service managers. Beall began her career at Callaway Gardens with positions including assistant housekeeping manager, certified meeting planner and sales manager. Smith served as director of operations and meeting support for Association Services Group in LaGrange, Ga.
Callaway Gardens has also appointed Randall McMichael as general manager. McMichael previously worked as general manager at Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Ga.
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Jay Rocha is the new general manager for Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Benchmark Hospitality International property. Rocha has served as general manager for the Reunion Resort of Orlando, The Richardson Hotel of Richardson, Texas, and the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Denver.
SANTA FE, N.M. – The Santa Fe CVB has hired Kim Harmon as sales manager. Harmon has 15 years of hospitality experience. Most recently, she worked as sales manager at Inn and Spa at Loretto in Loretto, N.M.
LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. – Gregory Roper is the new director of sales and marketing for Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, managed by Crescent Hotels and Resorts. Roper brings 25 years of hospitality experience, including sales positions at L’Auberge Orchards in Sedona, Calif., and Salish Lodge and Spa in Seattle.
