BRANSON, Mo. – The Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa and Convention Center has hired Jeffery VanCamp as assistant general manager/food and beverage. VanCamp previously served as director of food and beverage for Westin Atlanta Perimeter North.

DURHAM, N.C. – Jack Schmidt has joined the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club as director of sales and marketing. Schmidt served as general manager of The Carolina Inn.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau has promoted Mindy Abel to senior vice president, strategy and development. Abel held the position of senior vice president of sales for the past five years. She has 19 years of sales experience.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ben Baez is the new director of sales and marketing for Waterstone Resort and Marina. The resort is currently undergoing a reinvention from Boca Bridge Hotel and will open later this year. Baez has 25 years of hospitality experience, including his position as director of sales with Fairmont Hotels in Denver and San Francisco.

RENO, Nev. – The Silver Legacy Resort Casino has appointed Meg Kennedy to director of contention sales and Tanna Pearman as national sales manager. Kennedy spent her last 13 years as national sales manager of the Silver Legacy Resort Casino. Pearman previously worked in sales at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.

DESTIN, Fla. – Elyse Graver is the new regional sales manager for the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort. Based in Plano, Texas, Graver will focus on markets in Texas and the West Coast territories. Graver worked as an independent hotel contractor the last 12 years for major hotel brands including Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Associated Luxury Hotels International has hired Lisa Lewis as national sales manager for the western United States region. She will promote the company’s more than 160 hotels worldwide from her office in Phoenix, Ariz. Lewis previously served as national sales manager for Tempe Mission Palms in Tempe, Ariz.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Dave Byerly is the new executive director for the Texas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureau. Byerly has 25 years of strategic and business development, marketing and management experience. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce in Hot Springs, Ark.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma City CVB has hired Dennis Johnston as vice president of sales. Johnston comes to the bureau from the Lexington CVB in Lexington, Ky., where he served as vice president of sales.
