Lake George: A Historic Lake Retreat

Hyde Collection Art Museum

The 3,000-piece Hyde Collection ranges from old masterworks to contemporary paintings and sculpture. It is housed in an American Renaissance-style mansion with modern gallery extensions. The masion is the former home of museum founders Louis and Charlotte Hyde. The Hyde has a 144-seat auditorium and a 600-square-foot courtyard for events. The staff can also organize team-building art programs.

Fort William Henry

The Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center is located on an 18-acre estate on Lake George’s southern shore at the historic site of Fort William Henry. The conference center and resort is adjacent to a replica of the fort, which features living-history reenactments and costumed interpreters that represent British regulars and French soldiers of the 1750s. The center can accommodate up to 300 people in flexible meeting spaces and the hotel has 193 guest rooms at three levels, among them the upscale rooms of the Grand Hotel, which opened in 2004 on the footprint of the original 1855 hotel.
