Louisville Convention Hotel Breaks Ground

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Officials held a ground-breaking ceremony on the future tallest hotel in the city: the Omni Louisville. The first Omni Hotel and Resort property in Kentucky will open the 30-story luxury property in early 2018.

The hotel will stand one block from the Kentucky International Convention Center and at the cornerstone of the city’s entertainment district, “Fourth Street Live.” Meeting planners will be able to book any of the 612 guestrooms and use the hotel’s approximately 70,000 square feet of event space.

The Omni Louisville will offer an all-day dining venue, rooftop pool bar and grill and Bob’s Steak and Chop House as the hotel’s fine dining establishment. Guests will also enjoy the hotel’s planned urban rooftop pool deck, fitness center, spa, art gallery and Speakeasy with a bowling alley.

“Louisville is a premier destination and we are incredibly excited to be a part of the city’s continued evolution,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels and Resort. “Louisville embodies everything we look for when selecting a new Omni location. It is a global city, home to a vibrant and growing business community, diverse neighborhoods, a healthy infrastructure and a dynamic city center.”

Omni Resorts’ Convention Collection also includes properties in Atlanta, Dallas, Fort Worth, Nashville, Providence, San Diego and Washington D.C.
