It was always about bringing people together.

When Harold Koplar first drew the original plans for the Lodge of Four Seasons Golf Resort, Marina and Spa in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, he wanted it to be a place where people gathered to spend quality time. When the resort opened in 1965, Koplar’s dream was immediately realized as guests flocked to this remote location for the chance to gather in such a stunning place. Koplar’s family managed the lodge, which includes 54 holes of championship golf, a full-service marina, gorgeous Japanese gardens, five diverse restaurants and an award-winning spa, for more than five decades before passing the torch to Troon Golf LLC on January 1, 2018.

Today, the lodge’s warm hospitality and serene lakefront location make it a great option for meetings. The lodge takes its design cues from the Spanish Mediterranean coastlines and serene Asian influences, creating an eclectically casual elegance that reflects the charm of the Midwest. The lodge sits on 3,500 acres and offers 358 recently renovated guest rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space.

Each season brings a new adventure for guests.  Summers are spent navigating the cool waters below on motorized watercraft; paddling around on kayaks, canoes and paddleboards; or relaxing at one of the resort’s four swimming pools. Spring and fall are great times to take to the hills along the numerous hiking and nature trails that surround the lodge and lead to underground caves or high cliffs. The mild winters of the Midwest afford opportunities for exploring the local area’s top museums, art galleries and castle ruins, but also offer the chance to chill out around a roaring fire either indoors or out.

Meeting groups can take advantage of the resort’s recently renovated meeting spaces while luxuriating in the lodge’s massive array of on- and off-site activities. The facilities at the Lodge of the Four Seasons are suitable for hosting executive retreats, organizational conferences, conventions, receptions and trade shows for up to 1,800 guests.

Meeting Spaces

The meeting rooms at the Lodge of Four Seasons offer groups unusual and functional spaces that encourage creativity and community. The Granada Ballroom can be divided into three sections for a maximum of 1,450 guests, and the Marbella Ballroom can be divided into two, for up to 900 guests. The numerous breakout rooms and their maximums include the Valencia, 200 guests; the Rooftop Patio, 400 guests; the Lookout, 200 guests; the Seachase, 150 guests; and Eagles Peak, 350 guests. The Campana Exhibit Hall, for up to 2,000 guests, is excellent for trade shows and vendor exhibits, and the resort’s many outdoor event spaces bring groups together among nature.

Catering

The Lodge of Four Seasons features a full-service banquet kitchen with experienced chefs and culinary teams manning the stoves. The team includes a banquet staff for delivering delicious breaks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners to conference guests, who have come to rely on the team’s stellar service and culinary prowess. The lodge also features on-site dining options that are always open for groups to use during their stay, as well as five bars: HK’s Restaurant and Bar, Breezes, Fire and Ice, the Cove Grill and the Ridge Grill. Alcohol is also available during events.

Extras

Meetings and events at the Lodge of Four Seasons encompass so much more than the meetings and events themselves, as the meetings team can assist with the coordination and delivery tons of extras. The team’s list of extra offerings for meeting groups includes team-building events, cooking demonstrations, group yoga sessions and spa educational programs. Groups can also reach out to the meetings team at the lodge for help planning activities for spouses and families, as well as to ensure that everyone attending has the most memorable experience possible while staying in the area.

After Hours

Meeting guests and their families are never left with nothing to do at this multifaceted venue. The Lodge of Four Seasons offers two award-winning golf courses, the nationally acclaimed Spa Shiki, a full-service marina, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sand volleyball courts, walking and biking trails and an on-site private movie cinema, game room and fitness center. For those looking to explore the nearby area, the lodge staff can recommend something for every person in the group, from exploring the caves and castle ruins at Ha Ha Tonka State Park to stopping in for a sip at the region’s emerging craft wineries, like Seven Springs Winery and Shawnee Bluff Winery.
