My favorite meeting apps

Scholar’s recommendations

Intl Meeting Planner
This app allows users to find the perfect time to schedule meetings, with numerous time zones, internationally. An unlimited number of cities can be added from a large selection worldwide. When the user adds the preferred time for the meeting, it provides the time zones for the other attendees. Scholar uses the app when scheduling and planning virtual meetings.

Egnyte
A secure file storage cloud that Scholar prefers to Dropbox because files are sent and received securely, without fear that confidential information will fall into the wrong hands. Scholar adds, “When others send secure files through services like Dropbox, it makes me realize that they are not seriously concerned about the risks of confidentiality breaches.”

HP ePrint Service
For printing in a hurry, this is a great service that allows a user to quickly send data through their iPhone or iPad to a local printer. It lists printer services in the user’s area.

Scanner Pro
Documents can be scanned quickly and easily with an iPhone or iPad using this app, which Scholar said she uses daily.

FortuneBall
When Scholar is crazed and needs to forecast the future, or if she just can’t find information, jokingly, she asks her question to FortuneBall, the magic 8-ball that many remember from childhood.

FreeCandle
When she needs some serenity after a crazy day, Scholar lights her FreeCandle to soften the mood and reduce stress. There are a number of candles to choose from. The bonus: No need to worry about burning down a hotel room when the candle is on an iPhone.
