New England’s First Hard Rock Hotel Announced

HARTFORD, Conn. – The iconic glowing guitar of the Hard Rock brand will light up downtown Hartford when New England’s first Hard Rock Hotel opens in the fall of 2018. The Hard Rock Hotel Hartford will open as part of the city’s $350 million Downtown North “DoNo” redevelopment plan, which will bring housing, retail, a brewery and a 9,000-spectator minor league ballpark.

The 170-room hotel will be managed by Hard Rock International with many of the brand’s signature amenities, such as a rooftop pool and lounge with views of downtown Hartford. Other offerings include the Hard Rock Café, Body Rock workout facility, Rock Spa and a Rock Shop where fans can purchase some of the company’s music-related merchandise.

“We’re excited to bring the Hard Rock brand to New England in a city as welcoming as Hartford,” said Marco Roca, executive vice president of global hotel development at Hard Rock International. “We look forward to being a part of Hartford’s Downtown North evolution as one of the most exciting new neighborhoods in the region.”

Guests can enjoy the strong music vibe permeating all Hard Rock Hotels. The new hotel will offer guests The Sound of Your Stay music program that allows visitors to check out a Fender guitar for impromptu in-room jam sessions. Hard Rock Hotel Hartford will also showcase live music performances year-round.

Although the details haven’t been finalized, the property will also offer meeting facilities for business travelers seeking the excitement of a Hard Rock Hotel event experience.
