GALENA, Ill. — Bricton Group, a leading hotel-management company, has taken over management of Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa.
The 30-year-old resort, on 6,800 acres, is best known for its award-winning golf courses; its proximity to the historic town of Galena, Ill.; and accommodations at its inn and in more than 250 rental homes. The resort has about 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
“This is a classic venue that families, business executives and golfers have been coming to for years, and we’re excited to carry on the Eagle Ridge tradition of excellence,” said Edward Doherty, Bricton Group president. “While we’re keeping the best of Eagle Ridge, we also have plans to update the resort so we can continue to delight visitors for the next 30 years. We plan to concentrate heavily in the Chicago area and will cross-market with a number of hotels already in our portfolio.”
Bricton has partnered with Touchstone Golf LLC, which will manage the golf courses.
