New Westin Atlanta Gwinnett Adds to Gas South District’s Meeting Options

DULUTH, Georgia — Concord Hospitality’s new Westin Atlanta Gwinnett hotel is bringing more meeting venue options to the Gas South District, an event campus anchored by the Gas South Convention Center, Gas South Arena and Gas South Theater.

The 348-room hotel was developed in partnership with the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the property serves as a full-service meetings and events facility. The new hotel has more than 27,000 square feet of function space with 16 event facilities and spacious accommodations, including a presidential suite with a private terrace, two hospitality suites with outdoor terraces as well as four executive-level and six standard suites.

All guest rooms offer wellness-enhancing amenities, such as the Westin Heavenly Bath, and the hotel will be among the first in America to offer the new and enhanced second-generation Westin Heavenly Beds.

The hotel’s rooftop bar, Overstory, provides guests with 360-degree views and is home to a Sunday jazz brunch. The space, which features firepits and water displays, offers plenty of room for corporate gatherings or receptions. The hotel’s custom, colored, exterior lighting that can illuminate the building in any color combination to celebrate various groups and occasions.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, SweetSong Kitchen and Bar, focuses on healthy, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additionally, the property features a Starbucks and has an indoor saltwater pool adjacent to its signature WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio.

Built to complement the expansive event capabilities of the Gas South District, the hotel is home to 16 meeting and events spaces, with features such as a 10GB fiber network infrastructure and redundant systems that support comprehensive business continuity measures, mitigating risk and ensuring event operations run efficiently and without interruption. Spaces can be configured to accommodate groups of up to 800, and a professional event team ensures conferences, celebrations and any variety of experiences run smoothly.

Operated by the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Gas South District offers an array of events with walkable access to many destinations and short drives or public transit rides to Greater Atlanta attractions, such as the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain Park, The Carter Center, Truist Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and much more.
